Hello, I've gone through multiple threads, and still haven't figured out if my setup would work.
Motherboard: Gigabyte X58A-UD7
CPU: Intel core i7 950 @3.07GHz
System Type: x64 based PC
Legacy BIOS mode (would this be a problem?)
GPU: Nvidia Quadro FX 1800 (Haven't seen this listed as not supported, but not as supported either.)
Current OS: Windows 10 Home x64 (Dualbooting with Arch Linux 5.9-1)
Manufacturer: Microsoft Corp.
(Ripped off of msinfo32)

Note: my profile discloses my graphics as GTX 1050Ti, which isnt compatible with macOS. I use that graphics card to play games on my windows 10 OS, and not in my Linux installation.

No your components are not compatible with Mojave or Catalina.

Your i7 950 Intel CPU doesn’t incorporate an IGPU, so you have to use a discrete graphics card when running macOS, no matter which version you install.

You already know that your Nvidia GTX1050 is not compatible with the newer macOS releases.

If you were to purchase a compatible Nvidia (Kepler series) or AMD discrete GPU, you may be able to install Mojave or Catalina.

With your current setup you may be able to install macOS High Sierra. You should look for a thread/guide for a similar setup as yours. Your X58 motherboard may require some additional steps to get macOS running/installed.
