Would a i3 Work With This

Yes, any Sandy Bridge LGA 1155 socket CPU will fit that motherboard, and that includes the i3-2120.

yea i knew a 1155 would work i just didn't know if they where cpu specific like motherboards. thanks for a speedy reply

You might want to check out the GT 610 a .little more.
Some people have trouble with it and it is a weak card. Check threads.
It is actually a rebranded earlier card.
Go with GT 640 much better.
Or cheaper GT 210.

Look at the chart from Tom's hardware on hierarchy of video cards.

i3 2120 is fine. I built two recently with them.

But I would definitely go for a better graphics card, at least go with a 128 bit.
