I am currently using Imac14,2 is much more stable, PLUS: you get Turbo Boost on Intel CPU.
Turn OFF WiFi before Shutdown. otherwise it will crash couple times when start up. (eventually it will boot normally)
it could be just non Mac - standard DDR4

do your hackintosh randomly freezes? mine does,
don´t know what it could be.
i´m currently on SIERRA but in EL Captian i had the same issue.

Don't you have shutdown problem?
Mine reboot instead of shutting down... Can you share your config.plist & kexts you use to do it please?

Hi, I'm about to build same hack as yours and was wondering about the settings in the BIOS, just in case there was something special to set up? I'm not used to MSI motherboards as I've always had Gigabyte's.
I'm planning to install High Sierra on these : MSI Z170A-PC-MATE + i5 6500 + Corsair Vengence LPX 8Go DDR4 CMK8GX4M1A2400C14 + AMD rx580 8gb.
Other question, in the end what SMBIOS would you suggest is best 14,2 or 17,1 or .. ?
