if this would be of help to anyone still using GA-H77n-wifi gigabyte mini ATX
My computer use if for basic stuff only

have been on high Sierra(dual boot with Win 10 on single SSD) for a few years, had problems with Mojave and gave up.
Tried a few Catalina fresh installs/update from high Sierra, with problems on sleep, screen resolution, wifi
after a few trials it seems to have sorted out, do not ask my how, I do not know much about tweaks/SSDT/id etc...

Did a fresh install.
set up Catalina
booted from USB, low screen resolution
Mounted EFI
installed Clover 'Clover UEFI Boot Mode v2.5k r5102'
added these kexts to Clover/Kexts/other folder -
AirportAtheros40.kext
AppleALC.kext
FakeSMC.kext
IO80211Family.kext
Lilu.kext
NullCPUPowermanagement.kext
WhateverGreen.kext

rebooted - everything worked except display/screen resolution

replaced config.plist in EFI/Clover with config.plist from my working high Sierra (this seemed to solve the display resolution)
was at default boot to recovery drive in clover after I had swapped config.plist, in config.plist changed boot volume name to my current boot drive and now clover set by default to boot from Catalina drive

i5-3570K
Dell D1515 wifi card
apple bluetooth keyboard
logitec mouse M235
Samsung SyncMaster 226 display, 1680x1050 (other options I can see in display 1344x840, 1024x640)
audio - line out one -audio through orange port, line out two -audio through black port
USB 2.0/3.0 ports work - not checked speeds
sleep works

overview info:
iMac 27inch late 2013 Macmini (6,2)
3.39 GHz quad core intel core i5
8gb ram
intel hd graphics 4000 1536mb

your hardware configuration, the best matched SMBIOS should be Macmini6,1 or Macmini6,2

do not use the NullCPUPowermanagement.kext for Power Management

thank you so much for posting this, this has me thinking I'll try an upgrade. I've got an H77N-WIFI build running High Sierra and I've been wanting to upgrade but got frustrated with a couple tries at Mojave. I'm thinking I might try again with Catalina, but I also use a dedicated NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti, do you think I can still use that Graphics Card, and if I wanted to upgrade, might you have any suggestions for basic edits in FCPX?
