Hi guys,

So what i wanted to know is, will updating our current Mac OS Sierra Hackintoshes work properly?
Because as far as i know there will be a new file system.
And all videos on the matter show a full reinstall of High Sierra.

But ofc the official release will have a update option for existing Macs.

Do you guys think it will work without any problems?

It worked just fine on my old X58A-UD7 build with the Legacy AMI BIOS. Installing via the Update tab of the App Store it just installs itself over your existing Sierra.
I tested 3 ways:
1. Download and create USB installer, clean install
2. Run the downloaded app and point it at a freshly cleaned and formatted HDD.
3. Run the downloaded Install Mac OS High Sierra Beta app from Sierra and install over Sierra

Install Clover, copy DSDT to ACPI/patched, copy FakeSMC and network kext to desktop and run KextBeast to install to L/E, then run toleda's script for audio.
Everything works fine on all three test drives.

EDIT: Now tested a fourth way - Update center updates from each version PB to next version PB with no trouble at all. Only have to remove the AppleHDA patches in config.plist and run toleda's script again to get audio back.
