I'm looking into making a powerful build to edit ~50Mb raw files. I have compiled a list of parts that I think will work nicely. This is my first time with this. So if anything needs changing, or you can recommend any changes, it would be a great help!

I'll mainly be using http://photivo.org/download/mac, and GIMP. I might experiment with Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom a little bit.

How does this sound? I need to make sure I have accurate colors, proficient hardware to handle large raw files, and over-all compatibility. Any input, or changes are greatly welcome!

Everything is on the recommended list except the card reader and the tablet - not sure about those, but the build should be more than adequate for photo editing.

Awesome, thank you. Since it's mainly for photography should I lower the quality of anything to save some money?

I would not. Go with what you have listed - you will not be disappointed.

Perfect, thanks again. This graphic setup will be good for my purpose, right?
