Hi,

Never heard about Hackintosh up till a week ago.
I got me a MBP here but probably wouldn't have bought it back in late 2010 if I knew about hackintosh. I still have a windows system with following specs. and would like to know if it's possible to use as a hackintosh pc.

Thermaltake Armor Black, Aluminium Front
, 25 cm Fan, Super tower (Without PSU)

Corsair - Builder CX600 V2 - 600 Watt

Asus P6T Deluxe, X58, Socket-1366
DDR3, ATX, SLI&CrossFireX, Firewire, 2xGbLAN, 3xPC

Intel Core i7 Quad Processor i7-920
4,8GT/sec, 8MB, Boxed

Corsair TWIN3X 1333MHz DDR3, 6GB,
Kit w/3x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24

Sapphire Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3
PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI-I, HDMI, HDCP, Lite-Retail

Seagate ST380815AS Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 80-GB Hard Drive

Western Digital Caviar GreenPower 1TB
, Sata 3 Gb/s, 32MB Cache

I found a post concerning my Asus P6T Deluxe here but it's pretty outdated but couldn't find anything recent.

Would really appreciate some advise on which HW to purchase in order for me to get a hackintosh system up and running which can be overclocked and upgraded with ease unlike a MacBook Pro or iMac.

Thanks in advance,

Ramon

Thanks for your quick reply Gordo74.

Disappointing to hear I can't work with the current setup.

I wouldn't mind buying a new MB & graphics card, however also buying a new processor, would be a bit too much for now. So I'm trying to find the less expensive solution to be able and get hackintosh to work on the stuff I already have.

While browsing for info, I stumbled upon this:

"Asus P6T DSDT works great.

You can upgrade your BIOS but sometimes it will not work. SO BEWARE Tested with Core i7 920

Cheers
Severender"

A post that can be found here: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=401

Perhaps buy a 1366 Gigabyte motherboard?
Any suggestions are more then welcome.

Great thanks Gordo :)

Sure has a better pricetag then the Gigabyte x58A-UD3R.

Got OS Lion installed :)

Everything is working. Network/sound/sleep/wake.
However, I used a weird work around to be able to boot from the HD because MultiBeast resulted in reinstalling my system each time and Chimera didn't work either for me. I copied the /extra folder from the UniBeast on my HD and that worked. However after doing that, I wasn't able anymore to add USB devices. System locksup on me and forces me to reboot. I want to be able and connect my ext. HD so I can run TM.
Any suggestions?

TIA
