I have a question, the "build" or version of Big Sur that is now running in our x86 processors will be the same as the one running or that will run in M1 chips ?? or will that be a different build, version or compilation ??

I understand that Rosetta will run apps on Big Sur that are not compatible with the OS, but that is only for M1 processors, right ?? Can someone please explain this. Thanks

When you look at the size of the Big Sur download, 12+ GB that tells me the code for new M1 Macs is in there too. We'll find out for sure once we see people's videos that get the new Macs. Also people here that have already ordered them, will let us know the specific build they get.

I would say it would be the same because don't forget some genuine Macs out there and still on sale has Intel processors in them. As time goes on as Apple fazes out Intel for it's own M1, things will probably change who knows.
