I am having an issue with my wifi where after a while (usually less than an hour) it just stops working. It is worse when I have anything plugged into the front panel of my Corsair 650D case. If something is connected there wifi will only last for about 2-5 minutes before dropping off.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can begin to diagnose this issue? I've tried looking into activity monitor, network utility, etc... I'm not really sure what to look for however. The only way I can get it back online is if I either: 1) turn wifi off/on or 2) run Network Diagnostics, hit next through all the prompts and then it will reconnect.

I am using the TL-WDN4800 (recommended in the buyers guide), GA-Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard, and a D-Link DIR-615 router.

Thanks!

Edit:

I am getting this message in console: Link Down on en1. Reason 8 (Disassociated because station leaving). Can anyone shed some light on this?

I was all of a sudden having problems with wifi after cable company did some work.
When paging through forum it would give me server not available.
Is this your problem ? ( also clicking on google searches gave server not found )

I wish I had checked console.
I tried removing all internet connections in pref pane and adding them again plus trashing network config file. No luck !

I came across similar symptoms at apple user forum. Apparently real macs have real problems too.

You could try changing the DNS server in network preferences under advanced.
I used 8.8.8.8 which is Google DNS. this was a suggestion at forum.

Your console message suggests you have wifi on 0. ( if the message refers to wifi ) : check in network prefs for numbering
Ethernet should be 0 and wifi 1.
This happened back in the days when people had trouble with Appstore connects.

I tried about 10 different things - most were solutions people posted over at apple's forum. The other thing I did was update the firmware for my router, then set it up from scratch. There was an option to save my old settings and reinstall them but I decided to set it up all over again. It's finally fixed but i'm not totally sure which solution i tried finally did it. I suspect it was simply the router, though.
