Hi,

I am building my own Mac for the first time and I have some trouble getting my WiFi to work. I used MultiBeast (8.1 for 10.11.3) to install the AtherosE2200Ethernet network driver (tried v2.0.1 & v.2.1.0) for my TL-WN781ND (v2.2). I tried modifying the AirportAtheros40.kext/Info.plist:
...
<key>IONameMatch</key>
<array>
<string>pci168c,32</string> <-- new/inserted
<string>pci168c,30</string>
...
I got the Device ID from research. (maybe it's not matching)
After rebooting an error massage appeared stating the described kext is corrupted and won't be used. I got my ethernet cable working before but the WiFi option is still missing in the system preferences.

Has someone experienced the same issue? or knows how to fix this?

-----------
I have a ASRock H97M (Anniversary) main board.

TP-LINK TL-WN781ND v2 - chipset AR9485, PCI ID: 168c:0032

AR9485 is not supported.

You need to replace it with compatible hardware.

Thanks BreBo!

I thought I was compatible OOB because some similar models appeared in the buyers guide. Next time I will be aware of this pitfall. (Still learning...)

Do you recommend any specific model which is supported easily?
