Hi,
I got my build working pretty good, except for if I put more than one memory stick in it it will freeze after about 10 minutes.
The Ram I have now is the recommended 8gb kit Crucial Ballistix Sport XT
This is the only issue I have left and it is very stable with just one 4gb stick installed.
I played with memory settings and different slots) but nothing worked.
Should I go for this G.Skill DIMM 16 GB DDR3-1600 Kit?RipjawsX
It is CL10 is that better than the 9?

A lower CAS latency, CL9, is considered to be better (faster). Don't know that you'd be able to tell
the difference in everyday use. Did you run Memtest 86+ on your memory yet ? Try it with a
Windows install ? Is your PSU a newer Haswell ready model ?

If memory tests show the ram to not be faulty then try out the G.Skill and see if it makes a difference with the freezing.

Yes, I ran memtest on both modules. Turned out ok.
The PSU is an older model, wich I know is supposed to not 100% haswell compatible.
I left it in, because I got it running so far except for the memory issue.
Even sleep works, wich was supposed to be a problem with the PSU.
Think I should swap it?

Did you get the RAM is the right slots for dual channel mode? On your board, slots 2 & 4, counting slot 1 as closest to the CPU and 4 closest to the 24-pin connecter.

Yes I know. Didn´t work either.
But I tried different combinations also.
Ordered a new PSU. Now I am trying to run linux on a stick, to check if that is stable...

Alright, so I got a new haswell compatible PSU and things are better.
But I still get random freezes about 2-20 minutes after reboot. Then one it runs I had it for 4 days running ok.
As I said, memtest was fine.
I'd like to try changing the ram voltage, but I cant change the setting in the bios for some reason.

Is your RAM on the compatible list for the board on the OEM site?

Sure is.
Ballistix sport 4gb each.
Seems to run fine w just one of them.

But I might also have a problem with the Firewire.
These freezes happen usually when I have something plugged in.
But I will check now without using the port and see what happens.

edit:
still have freezes with nothing connected to the card.
Now I pulled the card, to see if that helps...

So now I pulled the pci card, and have only mouse keyboard and usb soundstick connected. And it froze again.
I also tried raising the ramvoltage by .1v but it made no difference.
what else can I try, except for getting new ram?

Problem may not be RAM - it might be the RAM slots and be a board RMA problem.
