Can you use these for data drives (not OS)? When I plug mine in they are not seen, unlike the blue ones. Others seem to get them to work...

Thank You....

EDIT: Found this...

For any of the Gigabyte boards you will need at the minimum the following kexts: fakeSMC, LegacyHDA, NVenabler64, the Realtek driver for the ethernet port and optionally JMicronSATA or JMicroneSATA (if you want the GSATA ports recognized). Of these kexts only the Realtek is installed in /System/Library/Extensions. All of the others are in /Extra/Extensions. This makes for a very clean install.

Good luck.

I couldn't find the JMicronSATA on multibeast, but will search the site...

And don't forget to enable it in bios

Thank You.

I put it in the /Extra/Extensions folder, ran Kext Utility, changed the GSATA to AHCI in BIOS and it showed up.

This forum is SO helpful.

EDIT: When I installed this kext it also turned all my other drives from orange to grey, even the ones plugged into the blue intel sata ports!
