Which Sound Card (OSX 64 bit)?

Although I have sound (latest MB), there is a very slight crackle/noise that has popped up recently.

Is there a good quality sound card (preferably internal) that works OOB with 64 bit OSX?

I want to know this, too. Seems like all the good quality sound cards are PC only.

Does digital out work for you? Another option is taking the optical/coax out to an external decoder (receiver or small dac).

As far as USB sound cards, this one is one that has high quality components (from what I read) :
