Hello,

I have a Zotac ID63. specs, see my details), running Yosemite.
Trying to optimize, starting with config.plist, SMBIOS

I don't know which model to choose.
Processor is a i3-3227U so MacBookAir5,1 or 5,2, based on Ivy-Bridge with "U" in processor type
But it's not a laptop, so iMac13,1, based on Ivy-Bridge with i3 processor type
Or should I choose for MacMini (which one?), based on it a NUC?

Please some advise.

Thanks.

Use everymac.com to find a model which closely matches your hardware.

Use everymac.com to find a model which closely matches your hardware.

Thats where I got stuck:

Looking at processor (mine: i3-3227U) and Graphics (HD4000), I would say, based on i3:

iMac "Core i3" 3.3 21.5-Inch (Early 2013) 3.3 GHz Core i3 (I3-3225)
Subfamily: Early 2013 (Edu) Model ID: iMac13,1
Apple iMac "Core i3" 3.3 21.5-Inch (Early 2013)

but I have a "U" processor which is for mobile, and speed is totally different: 1.9 versus 3.3.
So looking at the U in the processor and HD4000, closest is:

MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.7 11" (Mid-2012) 1.7 GHz Core i5 (I5-3317U)
Subfamily: Mid-2012 Model ID: MacBookAir5,1
Complete MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.7 11" (Mid-2012)

or:

MacBook Air "Core i7" 2.0 11" (Mid-2012) 2.0 GHz Core i7 (I7-3667U)
Subfamily: Mid-2012 Model ID: MacBookAir5,1
Complete MacBook Air "Core i7" 2.0 11" (Mid-2012) Specs

but thats an i5/i7 and thereby mine is not a laptop and therefore also not a Mobile HD 4000,
maybe choose for Mac Mini (i5/i7) with HD 4000 desktop?

Mac mini "Core i5" 2.5 (Late 2012) HD Graphics 4000 512 MB* Integrated
Subfamily: Late 2012 Model ID: Macmini6,1
Apple Mac mini "Core i5" 2.5 (Late 2012)

or

Mac mini "Core i7" 2.3 (Late 2012) HD Graphics 4000 512 MB* Integrated
Subfamily: Late 2012 Model ID: Macmini6,2
Apple Mac mini "Core i7" 2.3 (Late 2012)

So the question is: what preveals?
"Processor type i3 and/or U" versus "processor speed" or "Graphics card" or combination of all...

Thanks...

If it helps, your i3-3227U has mobile HD4000.

How do I get the simbios off of everymac.com? or where do I get it at all? @RehabMan
you can use clover configurator to generate some for you

then copy them to your own config.plist using xcode or plistedit

Hey,
i still have a Question on my mind about this, so im running an Intel I7-700 on a Kablake Chipset but on a Southbridge Skylake PCH (Mobo) and im stuck between my Simbios choice: Mac 18,2 and 18,3
Do you have any suggestions?
IMac 18,2 =Intel I5-7500 @3.40 Ghz
IMac 18,3=Intel I7-700k @4.20 Ghz
Ps. I looked my intel chipset up on everymac.com and it told me that there is a version of the IMac 18,2 with an I7-7700
Do you have any suggestions?
