Hi just wanted some input/advice about memory for my build. I still haven't made up my mind which mother board I'm going for, either the P55-UD5 or P55M-UD4, probably the latter. So I have been looking at which memory to get, but don't know if I should get 1.35v or 1.6v these are the kits I'm looking at:

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=247&c1=&c2= €100

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=226 €143

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=243 €143

Any one actually using this memory on their hack build?

Timings are fairly similar in each case. I'll be getting the i7 860, and probably an GeForce GTS 250.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated, hopefully I can get all the parts ordered this week! :D

Thanks

-Frank

You can use any of that memory will work being that it can have voltage up to 1.65v.
That being said, I've heard wonderful things about the G.Skill Eco memory on a few different forums. :)

malvadojedi,

Take a look at my build (in sig).
I've recently replaced my mobo for the P55M-UD4, and am experimenting with the new iboot betas on several different configs, all seems very good !
As for the RAM, I got the G.Skill Eco and love them.
These run very cool, and additionally allow me to fit the Mugen-2 Rev.B very nicely due to their low profile.

If you are shopping for 8GB, check prices of 2x4GB kits (2 x 2x2GB) as these will probably be cheaper than a 8GB kit (4x2GB), with no differences in performance nor compatibility...

Good Luck !

Thank you guys soo much for your advice, I was worried that the 1.35v sticks weren't good. So at least thats's one less decision I have to make

Thanks again.

Thanks, just finished ordering today, hopefully everything will get here for the week end :D

thanks again
