Hello helpful hackintoshers,

I'm having difficulty finding a starting point for an install on a 2015 Macbook Pro that currently ONLY runs Windows Server Edition 2012 (a friend was using it for a specific task and no longer needs it). I have a Clover bootloader USB as per the El Cap install instructions, which is my back up for the 10.11.6 Mac Pro install I'm typing this on.

My question is simple: Can I use my Clover install USB to wipe Windows off the 2015 Macbook Pro and reinstall OSX?

You should be able to boot directly from the macOS install partition on the USB drive. Do not boot clover. After you're in the installer you can format the Hard Drive.

So I've tried restarting multiple times with my USB drive plugged in, with no results.

Let me confirm that I have the correct items on my USB drive: I have the EFI-Backups folder, the 'Install OS X El Capitan' app, and the MultiBeast - El Capitan Edition folder.

Does that sound right?

when you restarted, did you hold the option/alt key to bring up the boot selector?

I am an idiot, and you my friend are wonderfully well-informed. So I got to the drive, tried to boot from the EFI Boot portion, and got hung up on the black and white apple loading screen indefinitely. Now, I'm creating a new bootable USB drive for El Cap install to the spec of the 'new' 2015 Macbook Pro. Think that will work?

Correction. I can't get an OG version of El Cap onto my bootable USB, so I went with Yosemite. Will report what happens next...

FIXED: I made a brand new bootable USB for Yosemite and got that to install. Just updated to High Sierra with no problems. Thanks for the assistance!
