What's Your Favorite Text Editor? (Besides TextEdit)

I like TextMate the best- I've been using this app as my go-to app for years and best of all, the new version TextMate 2 has just been released open source, so it's free. Download the source and build it yourself using Xcode, or get the pre-built App here.

Highly recommended- and in my dock at all times

GNU Emacs, by far. Mostly stick to it with the command line interface too.
