I get a little over 11xxx
at 45x multiplier with my watercooler setup
Antec 620 watercooler setup

guess i should prolly check into the ssdt

Mine @ 4.8GHz...it won't let me push more

when i get home i will take pics.. i have taken mine up to 5.62 stable before.. by touching the multiplier and playing with bclclock for hours.... on the other hand i have an i7 2700k that i cant get over 4.5 *SMH*

this was on my old Gigabyte
GA-Z68MA-D2H

Now that I have changed boards to the
GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

it is a little more picky about pre system start reboots and considers it a power failure due to overclocking... kinda makes finding the right clock a PITA

but i have found this one to be running just fine at 5.5 ghz with multiplier touch and bcclock changes

took about 40x reboots to get it to come on and be stable

longest uptime was a week but the shutdown was actually caused by bad weather knocking out my power. took it down to 4.5ghz after that just to get

i dont feel like the system is actually using this power though as my geekbench only varies slightly

Err, any idea what I might be doing wrong:

Core i5 2500K
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
XFX HD6870

My Geekbench score: 5049

Feels pretty fast to me, but the scores are a little disappointing. :( On the plus side, I'm using the Corsair H100 liquid cooling system so my temps will stay nice and cool if I bump up my ratio some more...

You probably need to install the SSDT from multibeast.

Thanks, Randy! That was exactly it. Of course, in trying to fix it, I managed to botch my Multibeast setup and wound up having to reinstall / nuke and pave. But-- Oh, what a difference.

My Geekbench is now
11787

OC'd to 4.2 (42X): I'll probably go higher, but right now I'm just happy to finally have some numbers in the proper range...

Seriously, thanks again Randy.

Here are my scores with 3.9 and turbos up to x 42
