I run it through displayport 1.2 at 4K 3840x2160 @60hz on a GTX 760.

Philips 40": BDM4065UC

For 4K UHD (3840x2160) resolution

And

Samsung 27'' S27C590

For HD (1920x1080) resolution

Hehehe :) same here regarding the 40" 4K Philips. Awesome monitor! Running on my main CustoMac with GTX 960.

I picked up a refurb for $500.
Normally priced at @ $710. to $799.

Picture is great.
Has 2 USB 3.0 ports.

My only complaint would be it only has 1 input.
Display Port only.
No HDMI or DVI inputs.

Using the Apple 30 Inc Cinema Display through the DVI-D on my graphics card. Love it!

ASUS PB278Q 27" WQHD 2560x1440 PLS/ IPS DisplayPort HDMI DVI-D VGA Ergonomic Back-lit LED Monitor

I bought this Monitor over a year ago I believe for about $550 and looked this morning on Amazon and it is $399
It of course does not have the polished look of an Apple display however the 2560x1440 is great and 27 inch gives you a lot of real estate.

Only problem I had was when sharing between 2 computers, one DVI and the other using DisplayPort the later would sometimes require monitor power off and on to work when switching to it.

I would buy it again...

Or rather a ASUS PB287Q 4k UHD LED Monitor with 3840X2160 Resolution for $467 at Amazon
