What kext do I need for Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E NIC?

The Intel Gigabit CT adapter is based on their 82574L chipset, which is supported OOB by Apple but only for certain device ID's (specifically those used in Apple hardware). To use an off-the-shelf CT card you'll have to inject the device ID of your card into Apple's kext according to the procedure outlined in this thread. Alternately, some have reported success by installing the SmallTree drivers for Intel ethernet cards - see this thread for more info.
