I recently ran into an issue with Yosemite and needed to trouble shoot it. It's been forever since I had to use a boot flag to get the system running. After rereading the install instructions, I noticed it listed "-f" as a boot flag to get the system going. I can't seem to find the definition anywhere. I know -s is safe mode and -x is verbose. Is -f force boot or something? My system seems to be functioning as normal, but I'm curious as to what the hell I'm doing.

Thank you. I did Google and use the search function here. Maybe I'm as bad as my students at some searches ;)

I hadn't previously found the Chimera page. I did find another page that didn't list the -f boot flag. Thank you for correcting the -x and -s that I listed. I must have been tired, as I know they are wrong after looking back.
