What happens after the beta phase and golden master?

What actually happens after the beta phase and after the golden master version was provided?

Do we need to install the final version again or can we just install all coming updates and at the end
we will receive the latest version and we are good to go??

My set up is working well and fully functional but if I had to install all over again I will not spend too much
Time getting all nice and all programs running.

I would expect it to work like previous public beta -> final OS releases.

When final is released to app store you just download and install it over top your existing beta install.

What Beta and Golden Masters would be is a change from a more cleanly coded operating system that they consider prime release that people would need to test before releasing the full product to the masses, but is still considered (by the engineers) a better release then previous betas and dev releases. But with any pre-release it still can include low laying bugs that people could come across and will be patched for the full 10.12.* release.

The GM is usually the same build as the final release, so you don't have to do anything.
