Hello,

In UniBeast "Legacy" refers to 6-series motherboards (see below) and earlier that use the Award BIOS and earlier for USB support.

Type 5-series motherboards/chipsets are used with first generation i3/i5/i7 Intel Core processors; e.g., P55 motherboard and i5-760 processor.

Type 6-series motherboards/chipsets are used with 2nd generation i3/i5/i7 Intel Core processors; e.g., Z68 motherboards and i7-2600K processors.

Intel Core 2 Duo processors are the generation before the 1st generation Core i3/i5/7 processors; e.g., pre 6/7-series.

Intel i5-3570 is for 7-series motherboards; e.g., Z77 motherboards.

The Intel Xeon Quad Core W3565 processor is a special processor (used typically for servers) in the time frame of the first generation i3/i5/i7 Intel Core processors. It uses a unique 1366 socket type motherboard.

I've Samsung NP540U3C-A03UB. I think it's 3rd generation, maybe a 7 series, not shure. I need to select something? Legacy USB Support, Laptop Support or nothing in the UniBeast option?

Thank you very much!

Do I choose legacy for the gigabyte z270x UD5 motherboard?
No, UEFI
UEFI Boot Mode is recommended for 7/8/9/100/200 Series CustoMac desktops and all UEFI capable systems.
Gigabyte Z270X-UD5 is 200 Series
