At this price it looks like the SN750 is the best deal going right now. If you work with 4K video this or a drive like it is a must have. You can also get it with a WD heatsink for 15 dollars more. See pic below.

Why are PCIe NVMe SSDs so much faster than SATA/AHCI SSDs ?

See the Crystal Disk Mark tests for the older WD Black NVMe. The newer SN750 should perform even better.

Yes you can use it. Your motherboard is Z390 so it's supported.

Hi, need some help please.

Recently I've installed the WD SN750 NVMe M.2 250GB and the performance results are far from what I'm expecting.

My Build:
- Asus Z97M-PLUS
- Intel i7-4790K
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4095 MB
- Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB (boot drive)
- RAM Kingston 16GB

Can you figure what is happen here?

Thank you in advance!

Thanks!

it's the only M.2 slot available on this board. There are any solution to change it for x4?
There are adapters that fit into the x16 slots that give you faster speeds. Look on Amazon, Ebay etc.

Thanks, I already take a look.

The only PCIe slot available on my boards have this specs:
- PCIe 2.0 x16_2 slot (max. at x4 mode, compatible with PCIe x1 and x4 devices)

The PCIe 2.0 with this adapter will give me better results than the ones that I posted above?
