Hey all

I've a multiboot system. Main SSD has Mojave (bootloader is Clover in efi). A second SSD has multiple partitions to try out new OS releases. Currently has Catalina and Monterey. I can boot into any of them just fine at the Clover boot screen.

The problem is Monterey I cannot update past 12.1. Shows up in system prefs, it will download and go through all the motions of updating, but when it boots back into Monterey it's still at 12.1!!
I've even tried to download an installer pkg file which is suppose to be a current updated release of Monterey (12.6) and used that to update it, and still no luck.

Any ideas?
BTW Catalina I was able to update no problem.
(also using the current release of Clover 5149)

Well I figured it out.

Some weird entanglement between Catalina AFPS volumes and Monterey volumes. Deleted the Monterey volume and created a new partition instead with the Monterey volume on it for compete separation. Resized other partitions. Updating now works.

Now I can boot into Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, and Win 10.
Quintuple booting!
Man Hacks are great!
Might add a Ventura test partition. ‍

Thanks for all the input!
