So im not sure if its working because my About this Mac section sees the 780 with the 3gb of ram , the Geekbench score is 52527 which is in line with the performance of that GPU I seem to have video acceleration ( all motions are fluid ) but here are the 2 things that make me wonder if it has properly been installed.

#1 the Nvidia panel on the top right shows its on OSX default graphics driver
#2 System profiler - software - extensions shows that the extensions loaded are NVDAGK100Hai and NVDAResman.

all web drivers don't seem to be loaded. does it mean that I'm not using the GPU in certain areas ? is my GPU properly installed ?

msi z170a sli plus
intel 6700k

@nowflex, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard or Make/Model, CPU and Graphics Card.
The Rules said:
Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.

BIOS - Disable Integrated Graphics - PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
Gigabyte 100/200 series motherboards need to emulate NVRAM - Problem 6 (Install EmuVariableUefi-64 + RC Scripts)
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition need black screen fix as per Link
