Water Cooled Cube

Hey Minihack,

first let me say that you built a very impressive Cube there and as far as I've been following other builds it seems to be the most Powerfull of them all.

As I'm kinda on the verge of starting on too (as you all are so inspiring) I was wondering if you could exchange your Pico PSU for a Seasonic 1U PSU such as:

or maybe the 350W 80+ Gold version:

but i'm not certain that it would fit with 190mm height -.- (I mean without some modding to the case)

Sorry I didn't see your post for a while!

There is not any space in the Cube to install a 1 U power supply as the water cooling takes up around half the case. Remember that inside the Cube, the largest dimension (of anything) is about 170mm and you can see how hard it can be to squeeze in a powerful system.

As technology stands at the moment, I think my system has pretty much hit the limit in terms of utilising space while staying cool and quiet. The big "cheat" I took was to open the back of the Cube case to expel air from the radiator and without that it would certainly overheat or sound like a jet plane - neither of which are acceptable to me.
