Intel 4790k

dont update till somebody smarter than me says you can

Its not unusual to lose audio on updates, re installing the audio usually sorts it out.

For the nvidia web drivers also not unusual for them not too work, best to wait for the updated drivers that work with the update.

Nvidia will likely update their web drivers in the coming days. Be patient!

When it becomes available, MacVidCards will post it on his nVidia driver list: http://www.macvidcards.com/which-driver-should-i-install-for-my-new-gpu.html

You can use the 10.10.4 beta driver if you updated too soon.

This is also a frequently updated list:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301416-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-yosemite/

The beta driver just checks for a OS X builds starting with "14E" so it should work fine with the public release of 10.10.4.

How is the success rate with the new drivers? I'm leaning toward not updating right away since I don't have a spare drive to back up to.

Its working fine here now. I had to install the 10.10.4 update. Boot with nv_disable=1 and then install the beta drivers. HDMIAudio.kext is also working after reinstalling it.
