Is there any possibility to get WOL working on Gigabyte Z77X UD5H board ? If i enable it, my Hack wont stay turned off. Which is ...not good.
Any ideas ?

Here are the steps that worked for me:

1. Disable "PCH Lan controller" (i.e. the Intel Gigabit port) in the BIOS, under peripherals
2. Install shailua's ALXEthernet driver (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...heros-ar813132515261627172-driver-for-107108/), but not the one included in Multibeast. Instead, download the xcode project and recompile it using the 10.8 SDK and Intel 64-bit options --- or just download my attachment
3. Reboot and populate the Network pref pane; it should come up as en0
4. Enter "darkwake=8" in your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist's kernel flags
5. Reboot
6. Configure your router to direct WOL packets (port 9) to your OSX machine

I did that, and WOL works! A sleeping Z77-UD5H comes up when, say, Mocha WOL (an IOS app) sends a WOL packet. After waking up, the machine appeared on the Finder sidebar and I could connect remotely using Back to My Mac functions (e.g. screen sharing, ssh).

A problem that came up, however, is, I think, that it does not wake up after a keypress or mouseclick. Solution to that:

7. Download and install SleepEnabler.kext (https://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/)

Overall, not the most elegant of solutions, but it appears to work.

*** all credit goes to Shailua --- thanks! ***

Hope this helps.

Anyone get this working with Clover and EL Capitan with the integrated NIC? I have a fully functioning system with the exception of WOL.
