Hello everybody!
I successfully installed snow leopard retail using the iboot + multibeast (easybeast) method and after 10.6.8 combo update boot was stuck on the grey apple, finally a barred circle indicated no boot device. After booting with -v, process was stopped after 'still waiting for root device'.
I am able to boot with the iboot cd and everything is fine so I wonder what kext/flag would help me to boot directely from HD.
I also tried to reinstall retail IOATAFamily.kext without success!

Thanks by advance

Specs:
CPU: Core2duo 1.8gHz
Mainboard: MSI Pt890 Neo-V Rev2.1
with 2gig 533 DDR2
GPU: Ati 5770

I guess you missed this rule:

» 2. Intel CPUs and Chipsets Only.
We do not support AMD CPUs or NVIDIA, ATI, VIA or SIS desktop chipsets. Atom CPUs are no longer supported as of 10.6.2, so the methods and software on this site will not work. Any post requesting help for unsupported hardware will be deleted.

Thank you for you're quick answer obvious man!
even though I wished I found it somehow useful...
By the way, i didn't know about the via chipset on my board and the problem seemed to me somehow intriguing.
got to find help somewhere else.
Bye
