Amazing feature by vrzone about building a no-compromise rig based on the brand new Intel Sandy Bridge-EP Socket 2011 Xeon E5-2690 8 core/16 thread CPU, 16GB RAM, an ASUS X79 motherboard, a RevoDrive PCIe SSD and a Radeon HD 7970 graphics card.

"What if I have about US$5000 to spend - Could I have a true 8-core/16-thread CPU in a small form factor setup without compromising on storage, thermals or online gaming prowess?" Well, we show that we can!

wow that´s a ****ing rig.
Wish i have one of these.

Hum...very cool but..if i had US$5000...i could buy a Mac Pro with 12 core /24 thread ! :)

All that power and still a PS2 port on the motherboard.

And you would be stuck with USB2.
And no thunderbolt.
