Vmware fusion vs Dual Boot

So I have my system set up to dual boot mac osx and win 7. I've been playing around w/ vmware and just installed xp fine. What is the advantage of dual boot, especially since most of the computers we have a so powerful. I guess you can ('t) do hard core gaming w/ virtualization, but that's what my xbox 360 is for right?. Any other limitations you guys can think of?

Really the only problem with virtualization is the fact that it slows things down which is why gaming is not ideal. Now, I do believe that VMware Fusion 3 has a feature were you can use a bootcamp partition in a VM, which may be useful.
