Wasn't too long ago the VLC team was desperate for Mac devs- guess they got em. :D

The new VLC 2.0 will have a totally redesigned interface, Lion fullscreen support and the ability to play back blu-ray. Read more at 9to5mac:

Test the nightly beta build version of 2.0 NOW here!

Outstanding! I'll try it out with my HacHTPC which has an LG Blu-ray ROM drive and is super quiet. (See my signature block for my HacHTPC Golden Build description.)

Here's the links for the current model of the LGBlu-ray ROM drive: Amazon | Newegg

About time, the current one is awful, that looks great though!

The new update looks super slick. :p

Going to try out in a few days.

Will VLC 2.0 work with normal Bluray discs, or will you have to rip the Blurays into a BDMV folder first?

I was looking for a way to make VLC have a dark theme just a few days ago...so happy about this.

My archived BDMV folders are working...will have to check the blurays themselves.

EDIT:
Discs are not playing through the currently nightly in OSX or windows. Seems to be a noted problem.
