I do new media art and I want to build a rig that can handle AE, Premier, Photoshop - all CS6 and maybe some Processing (Program), and occasional MAX/MSP. I shoot 1080P/60 a lot, and may go into 3D (1080P) editing as well.

I think I'm done cutting the fat off this thing, if there are any cost benefits you see to upgrading or downgrading, please let me know. I might play an occasional 3D game, but I doubt it, mostly for video/photo editing with large files.

Also, any recommendations for a cheap/fast/compatible DVD Burner?
What do I do about bluetooth?
What about optical audio?

My current build so far:

**MB**: Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA 1155 AMD CrossFireX/NVIDIA SLI Dual LAN Dual UEFI BIOS ATX Motherboard GA-Z77X-UD5H

**CPU**: Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155 - BX80637I73770K **(going to overclock to 4GHz)**

**GPU**: EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD 1280 MB GDDR5 Dual PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort SLI Ready Graphics Card, 012-P3-1571-KR

**HDD**: 1X SanDisk Extreme SSD 240 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SDSSDX-240G-G25 **AND** 2X Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda 7200RPM 2 TB SATA 6 GB/s NCQ 64 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive **(Raid 1)**

**PSU**: Corsair Professional Series HX 650 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold (HX650)

Cool, ordered everything with the BT adapter and the drive.

So for Unibeast, do I download Mountain Lion and install it on the machine I want to make the drive on, THEN make the drive? or make the drive first?

Thanks for the help!

Obtain a Macbook or any Mac based on Intel with SL. Buy ML from AppStore then make the Unibeast drive on it and after that you can install on your awaiting system.

I have a macbook/iMac running Lion right now, so I'll make the FD off of one of those...then update/sell those 2 machines! :geek:
