Hello to all , I hope Im in the right place... finding it really hard to find a solution...
I have a mac pro 3.1 running Mountain Lion
my original radion card is dying so I took it out, I already have a NVIDIA Quadro k600 card running a 3rd monitor through hdmi.. as the original card is out Im just running the NVIDIA Quadro k600 now.. I tried to use the displayport to a monitor but monitor say no signal , although the card is on line...
the hdmi port is working fine , anyone know what the problem could be?

I also installed a
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 in 2nd slot with 2 display ports
this card is online but no signal going to monitors
could this be a problem with displayport adapters or is it no nvdia driver?

I think it may be a display port problem as the k600 cannot use display port either

any help or ideas would be massively appreciated as im just going round in circles trying to find a solution

cheers Arfling

ok why Mountain Lion...you could go to Yosemite....
Later versions of OS always support more cards...
You could try nvidia drivers. BUT have a backup or you may end up with black screen and no way to fix it...
Make sure you have the right nvidia driver if you go that route...

Display ports seem problematical even if they are from Apple.
I have one and stuck it on an HDMI adapter and no go...
There are a number of posts about some mickey mouse plugging and unplugging ritual to get it to work...
Maybe they only work with Apple display port....
it may be a resolution incompatibility with your monitor...
