VGA display not detecting on macOS 10.14.1 laptop hackintosh

I have a VGA display lying around my room and i wanted to use it because i like editing and the preview is too small to see. When plugging the monitor in, macOS doesnt detect, nor doesnt work. I have a laptop hackintosh whith intel hd graphics 4000. Also, i'm a beginner at this, I don't know alot of things and i really want to get a second monitor working with vga.

Apple have not used VGA in their products for more than ten years so unsurprisingly they no longer include support for it in their operating systems.
