Was wondering if my build would be compatible with Mac OS High Sierra (10.13)

Hard Drive: Will find something
RAM: Some DDR2 4GB RAM
CPU: C2D 8400 3.0GHZ / 6MB / 1333
Mobo: ASUS P5Q-VM
Audio: Realtek® ALC 1200 8 -Channel High-Definition Audio CODEC
LAN: Realtek® 8111C
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 660 2GB

I will use it only for surfing on the internet and for start programming for iOS(nothing advenced)

Thanks!

The CPU shall work.
But most of the people will recommend to go with sierra rather than high sierra.

>But i think i won`t have newest version of xcode, im right?
why?
Does the latest xcode only run on high sierra?

Yes, you'll want to be on High Sierra to run the latest Xcode. You can use 10.12.6 but it makes more sense to just install High Sierra to stay current with the latest updates. In a few months you won't be able to use the next iteration of Xcode with 12.6.

From what I can tell XCode 9 will run on El Capitan 10.12.6 and newer, but you might find that this changes over the next few months. You may also have issues installing newer versions of macOS on older socket 775 hardware. I haven't even tried anything newer than Yosemite with an E8400 processor which was launched in Q1, 2008.

Xcode 9 Compatibility said:
Xcode 9 requires a Mac running macOS 10.12.6 or later.
Xcode 9 includes SDKs for iOS 11.2, watchOS 4.2, macOS 10.13.2, and tvOS 11.2.

It is good to know.
My school mac still runs Sierra. :)
