I use my hackintosh for game development so I spend a lot of time in 3d programs like Unity3D. Previously I was using a gtx970ti on Sierra and had few issues. After updating to High Sierra (10.13.4) however, I ended up with lots of UI lag and horrible METAL & OpenGL performance even with the latest Nvidia drivers, NvidiaGraphicsFixUp, etc.
I really wanted to get better performance out of my machine so I bit the bullet and bought an RX Vega 56 for the native OOB support. The card is fully recognized by 10.13.4 and the UI performance is great. Unfortunately, METAL & OpenGL performance appears to have gotten worse for some reason. I have tried VegaGraphicsFixUp, Whatevergreen, RadeonDeInit, and a number of different SMBIOS configurations to no avail.
Am I missing something here or is my machine just not cut out for high sierra?
