Hi,

I've just upgraded my machine OS X El Capitan with the clover boot loader. I've gotten all of my hardware working. And even my dvd drive is recognized. But I'm still getting the "Valid DVD Drive could not be found" error when trying to play .dvdmedia files.

I've already replaced the DVDPlayback.framework as I did with previous version. Forced permissions repair at the command line. Still not working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, this is driving me crazy!

Bump

No one else is having this problem? This has been driving me crazy. I can't play any DVD's or .dvdmedia files.

This is even though my DVD drive is recognized and working - just not for playing DVD movies!

Anyone? help?

thanks in advance

Your board has 2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors and 4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors.
Make sure that your DVD drive is connected to a SATA 3Gb/s connector.

Ah so a USB external DVD drive wont work? Asking as I'm getting this message, funny enough the DVD drive works just fine on my iMac. The external USB one that is.

I have not had any problems using a variety of USB optical drives.
