Hi, I've just swapped the processor in my hackintosh from a i5-4670 to a Celeron G1820 (only using this build for basic things now) and now it's hanging at USBMSC Identifier during boot.

I've tried booting with -v -x -f but it doesn't work.

I've attached a screeshot. If anyone has an idea how to fix it please let me know!

Thanks.

Apple does not provide support for these CPU models within OS X. If you use Clover then it is possible to use a different i5 CPU model and the processor will work. There is some good information that you can use in this thread.

If you have used Chimera/MultiBeast and do not want to use Clover then you will need to use a supported Apple processor. The i3-4150 and other cheap i3 models with HD4400 graphics can now be used:

Either way the only way to get back into your OS X installation is to refit the i5 processor or a supported CPU.
