usb to DVI adapter

I have two displays hooked up to my video card (which is a ZOTAC GeForce GT 640 Zone 2GB DDR3 PCI Express Dual DVI VCD ZOTAC ZT-60204-20L).

I am trying to hook up a 3rd small (15") display using a USB to DVI adapter (one of these: http://www.newertech.com/products/viddu2dvia.php)

The problem is that each time I do this the main monitor (which is a 2560 x 1440) switches off.

Does anyone know what would be causing this?
What would be the simplest way for me to add a third monitor?
