USB Installer Won't Boot

Might those be the five "Generic STORAGE DEVICE 0551" listings I see in my boot select list?

Except in the boot order organizer, I have not seen them elsewhere in the BIOS. How does one change them to CD ROM?

They would be the ones.

I don't have your board so can't tell you exactly how - Usually it's a selection that you click on the right hand end of the item concerned.

Thanks, I'll take a look in about an hour when the drive cloning I have going on now is done.

Go into your BIOS and set each and every instance of your card reader to CD ROM or Floppy Disk Drive.

Did that but still get errors when attempting boot to a USB drive:

EBIOS read error: Error 0x31
Block 0x0 Sectors 0

This is repeated four times.

That's odd, it usually works.

Did you check and make sure that it actually saved the settings in BIOS ?

Other than that I can't think of anything else that might help.

Actually, a correction is needed. This error is not a result of trying to boot to the USB drive. It occurs on every boot if the USB drive is present. I do not have to be (attempting) booting to the USB drive.
