USB Installer doesn't recognize internal HDDs

Just wanted to say thanks, this worked great for me after spending hrs looking at other solutions.

Do I need to make this change anywhere else after install to make sure it stays persistent after updates?

As long as you add it to your default config.plist file, you shouldn't have to make any other changes. I've installed all the updates up to 10.13.2 and haven't had any issues yet.

Of course, once Apple updates AppleAHCIPort.kext to something above v329, then we may have a problem. Good luck!
