USB Device boot to Hard drive, what config.plist is being used?

Hello, I'm pretty new with hackintosh and something is still unclear in my mind...

If I'm UEFI Clover booting from my USB Device to my Hard Drive where High Sierra is installed, what config.plist is being used, where the kext files are loaded from? The USB Device one or the Hard Drive one?

This is important to know I guess.

If you have not run MultiBeast or the Clover installer to install Clover to the HS drive, then the USB config.plist and kexts are loaded first. Use https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/efi-mounter-v3.280/ to mount the EFI partition and you will see the EFI folder containing Clover.
