I've read the reviews on Amazon and they claim that this works with any version of macOS including Monterey. It is BT 4.0 but I've not seen any BT 5.0 dongle that will work for connecting keyboards and mice. Price is steep but if you want plug and play working BT it's one good option.

The chipset is Cambridge Silicon Radio and not Broadcom.

Another option is the ASUS BT 400 that is Broadcom chipset, but I'm not sure it still has support in Monterey. Anyone try it yet ?

The Avantree DG80 BT 5.0 dongle works with macOS but for audio only. Means that you can't connect a BT mouse or keyboard when using this. Not a great solution. If you wear BT headphones and are on video calls all day long it might be worth paying the $30 fee.

I have now updated to Monterey (12.1) and this Hideez dongle no longer works. If anyone does have this working in Monterey I'd love to know how. Otherwise, I'm on the hunt for another working solution.
