Hello everyone! I hope someone will help me. I installed an Asmedia PCIe Host Card 3.1 gen. 2 (ASM1142) in my Hackintosh. I have updated to Mojave 10.14.2, but the various USB ports of my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H) and those of the Asmedia Card (type C), are not well recognized, in the sense that the speeds shown are not what one would expect and when a USB pen is inserted, it is not signaled.

I have enable EHCI Hand-off and now recognizes the usb pen, but wrongly. It's a usb pen 3.0 (in a USB port 3) but it is reported as 2.0

I can not believe there isn't anyone willing to help me
I don't understand USB issues well myself, but, on any forums, you can't expect "good" + "free" help to arrive "fast".

Yeah, but the last post was well over a year ago. The OP might have persisted and the problem been picked up.

What's more the problem was confusing :

The motherboard features Intel and Renesas USB ports, the screengrabs show an add-on VIA card. No sign of ASMedia. If there was not many of us carry Device ID tables around in our heads to be able to spot it. (Okay, I do: 1b21_1242; there was none).

Not easy to get to grips with that problem.

:)
