USB 3.1 Type C port on MOBO not working with El Capitan10.11.6 (IMAC late 2015 27-inch 5k retina setup)

Hey,

Sorry if this has been posted before (I did look high and low) I am a semi-noob - built this machine like 2017 kinda time. Have since altered/updated most notably the EFI file to inject the latest security updates on El Capitan and the m.2 NVME driver for the internal drive on the mobo. Now I tried to find a way of injecting a USB 3.1 type-C driver as my mobo supports this.

Just wondering is this possible and has anyone achieved this. I used the Clover Configurator in the past but couldn't see or find an obvious solution for this with that on El Capitan. Can anyone help?

You need to read and follow this guide by UtterDisbelief for your USB configuration to work with macOS El Capitan and newer - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/

This has nothing to do with Clover Configurator. As that application should be used for editing your config.plist, not setting up your USB ports for macOS.
