Although I bought Inateck KTU3FR-5O2I few months ago, I had not installed it yet because I waited an update 10.11.6 in order to make a clean install. Finally, yesterday, I found some time and installed the system, but Inateck card does not work properly: Writes only 16MB/s, read 42 MB/s. The same speed I have on the other motherboard pots. Mac OS sees the card: “USB 3.0 Bus: Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCIFL1100”.

I am using old Gigabyte motherboard: Ga-P67a-ud5-b3. The hardware list is named in the profile. I am using DSDT which I downloaded from http://tonymacx86.com/dsdt-database/.

Could anyone help me to solve or at least reduce this problem? Should I buy new card? I am afraid that I will have failure with the other cards too because I bought Inateck’s model by the recommendation too.

Just got this card in the mail today and installed it. It does indeed work OOB. Just plugged it in and it worked. I'm now getting about 70-90 writes and ~100MB/s reads using a USB 3.0 stick that I have.

It has a SATA power connector on it but I did not use it. Not sure why I would need it. Is it to power drives? Any info would be helpful.

Be sure to delete any third party USB 3.0 kexts you may have used in the past. This card uses Apple's own driver.

BTW, the card arrived in less than two weeks from China.

I bought and installed the Mediasonic HP1-U34F card in Mac Pro 1,1 modified to run El Capitan. Because Newegg said it was supported. It's not, after not being able to get it to work started researching. Neither Mediasonic, nor Renesas the chipset maker, offer any kind of OSX support. However, I used Multibeast for El Cap to install 3rd party drivers and it worked for the duration of my sessions. After shut down and reboot, the drivers no longer worked. Still odder, "About this Mac" identifies the card and the 3 external drives attached under USB. Any body have any idea how I can get Multibeast's kext to stay installed?

I have a big problem with my Inateck KT4006.

First, my USB2 Stick works fine on both ports. But my USB3 Stick becomes every 30 Seconds - 1 Minutes an error that the Device is not ejected properly. On my USB2 Ports directly on the MB and my Macbook Pro, the Sticks works fine without any errors.
