So when I built my latest hackintosh, my old usb2 card reader ceased to work. Couldn't enumerate or something. Well I was on the search for one that would work and I found one so I wanted to share incase someone else is looking.

Rosewill 74-In-1 3.5-Inch Internal Card Reader with USB Port 3.0 (RDCR-11003)

Work OOB. Just plugged right into my USB3 headers and worked like a charm. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an internal card reader. I have not tested the USB3 port on front yet, but I would assume it would work just fine.

If you're using SD/SDHC card, this would be good.

However if you're using CompactFlash (CF) cards, I strongly recommend against a reader like this. It's too easy to damage your card.

I mainly use CF cards. Other people use only SDHC cards so wouldn't care.

Thanks. I just installed the newer model Rosewill RDCR-11004 and my Maverick is not liking it. Won't shut down and even though the USB3 works, none of the card slots work

I'm ordering the one you have
