So decided to try and have another bash at running my intel nuc with big sur.

Its the model D54250WYK has:
  • Intel i5-4250UU 2.6ghz max
  • 12GB ram DDR3 Crucial
  • Intel HD Graphics 5000
  • Wi-Fi card to a Bluetooth and WIFI supported apple Broadcom model.
  • 250gb Samsung P851 SSD Stick

So I have managed to get Catalina installed form the pen drive on to the hard drive and copied over the efi folder to the efi folder on the hard drive. It booted.

Then i decided to upgrade to big sur using the internal upgrading tool by apple and am getting errors even tried the recovery and it will not install or boot with off the hard drive.

I have attached my efi folder that I used to get Catalina up and running after using gibos to put the os on and the efi was from members who have the same model as me. I also run the open core config list via the compare tool however i am not sure what's correct as it came up with some errors and i got some errors on the boot screen of the nuc when it starts.

I have attached what i have so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any luck on this yet?
I have a similar setup; the D54250WYK, 16 Gb of RAM, Kingston 512 SSD.
Catalina runs smooth.

My latest version of Clover is 5122; the 5132 seems to have issues with this system and halts at boot, after the Clover menu while showing the Apple logo. (The progress bar never shows)

Will be trying higher clover versions...
